FAQ
-
Why Is Skyline’s Group Coaching More Expensive?
-
Answer: Our group coaching is not a one-size-fits-all plan—it’s a high-touch, personalized coaching experience built on five years of refining what works best for athletes. We don’t cut corners because we know what runners need to be successful, and we won’t settle for less.
1. It’s Not Just a Training Plan—It’s 1:1 Coaching
Many group programs rely on copy-and-paste training plans to pump through a high volume of athletes, but we know from experience that generic plans don’t work. Every runner is different—your training history, injury risk, life schedule, and goals all matter. That’s why we provide customized programming within the group structure, ensuring your training is tailored to your needs.
2. You Get Individualized Support—Private Onboarding & Pre-Race Calls
A great training cycle isn’t just about showing up to group calls. Every athlete in our group receives dedicated 1:1 time with their coach during onboarding and again leading into race day. This personal touch ensures that:
✔ You start with the right training approach from day one.
✔ You have a clear, individualized plan heading into your race.
✔ You feel fully supported and prepared, not left to figure things out on your own.
At the heart of what we do is excellent coaching and a strong, community-driven approach.

What is your refund policy?
-
Answer: As professional running coaches working within our scope of practice is essential. This means that in the event of a suspected injury we will urge you to seek guidance from a medical professional to determine the appropriate next steps and when you can safely return to running. Please note that if you withdraw from the program past the halfway point a refund cannot be provided. If an injury disrupts your training before the halfway point of the program you will be offered free signup for a future group program with a note from a medical professional.

Do I need to be an experienced runner to join?
-
Answer:
No! Our coaching is designed for runners of all levels, whether you’re aiming for your first marathon or half marathon or trying to achieve a sub-3-hour marathon or sub-90-minute half. We’ve mastered making our training inclusive, structured, and adaptable for all abilities. However, to ensure you are set up for success and can handle the training, we do have minimum distance prerequisites:
These baselines help prevent injury and burnout, ensuring you build fitness progressively and safely. If you’re not quite at these levels yet, we recommend starting with a base-building phase before jumping into structured training. Feel free to reach out if you’re unsure whether you meet the requirements, and we’ll guide you on the best next steps!

Is there a payment plan available?
-
Answer: You bet! We are all about reducing barriers to entry. Please reach out and we can set something up that works for you.

-
What technology do I need to participate?
-
Answer: You can access TrainingPeaks using either a phone (via the TrainingPeaks app) or a computer (via the website). Both options allow you to view your training schedule, log workouts, and communicate with your coach.
While it’s possible to manually enter workouts, having a GPS watch (such as Garmin, Coros, or Suunto) is highly recommended. A GPS watch automatically syncs your runs to TrainingPeaks, providing detailed data on pace, distance, heart rate, and effort levels. This helps your coach analyze your progress more accurately and make better adjustments to your training.

What happens if I get injured or need training plan adjustments?
Answer: We adjust your training plan based on feedback, life circumstances, and injury prevention needs. We prioritize smart, sustainable training, ensuring you arrive at the start line feeling prepared, not burnt out.
